What: One day Annual Fund Drive Giving Event dedicated to keeping Willow Elementary great! Join us to celebrate our students and help us meet our fundraising goal of raising $19,000 in 19 hours on 9/19!

Where: Donate online from your phone or computer in just seconds OR meet for coffee and treats before or after school (7:30-8:30am and 3:30-4:15pm on the playground and at the main entrance) to donate in person by cash, check (made out to Willow Elementary PTA), credit card, Cash App ($WillowPTA) or PayPal (treasurer@willowelementarypta.com). Why:  Last year, Willow Elementary was able to raise more than $140,000 for Willow Elementary to fund those “extras” that make our school great! All donations go directly back to our school! Donations ensure funds that keep paraprofessionals in the classrooms, our librarian, up to date technology, library books and more. Our goal for this year, next year and the future is to raise enough money to fund additional support staff in the classrooms and to improve our academic achievement levels.  This year, we added two reading specialists to Willow Elementary.  This was made possible by your generous donations!

Q&A

What is the Annual Fund Drive? A year long fundraising project powered by parent volunteers that raises money to fund those essentials the state considers extras such as paraprofessionals (teacher’s aides), reading specialists and our librarian. We are also able to fund fun things for the children such as Avid for Adventure week, the Fall Festival, the talent show and so much more!

Is there a minimum donation? There is no minimum donation. We are grateful for anything and everything a family chooses to donate. We know giving is a sacrifice for our families and all donations are kept confidential.

Is there a maximum donation? The sky is the limit on this one! All donations are kept confidential.

There are so many families at Willow Elementary.  I am sure everyone will donate and cover my part? Did you know that last year approximately 25% percentage of our school families donated to our annual fund? The average family donation was between $50 and $5,000. Imagine if we could double our participation rate! Oh the places we could go!  How many paraprofessionals and reading or math specialists could we add to our school!!??

Is my donation tax-deductible? Yes. All donations are tax-deductible. You will receive an email receipt for your donation.

Can I make a recurring donation such as monthly? Yes! This is a great way to give! For instance, if you donate $50/month for 10 months, the $500 will go towards our 19 in 19 on 9/19 goal AND the whole amount is tax-deductible. Or consider a $1 per day donation for your child’s education. That is $14.50 per month for 12 months based on 174 school days!

Will my employer match my gift? Did you know that 65% of Fortune 500 companies have a dollar for dollar match program?  Do you know if your company has a matching program? Why should I donate? Did you know Colorado ranks 39^th in funding for public education? You sure wouldn’t guess that if you make a visit to Willow Elementary!  Not only do we have great students and teachers but so many programs funded by over 100k in personal and corporate donations each year. We can’t do it without you! No amount is too large or too small! We need your help!

Can I donate by check or cash? Yes! Checks and or cash can be dropped off before or after school on 9/19 (7:30-8:30am and 3:30-4:15pm on the playground and at the main entrance). Checks can also be mailed to Willow Elementary – ATTN: PTA Treasurer, 8499 Stoll Place, Denver CO 80238.

How can I get my kids involved? Children are never to young to start learning about generosity and charity! Encourage your little ones to shake a few quarters out of the piggy bank and bring them to our table before or after school for a treat and an “I donated” sticker they can proudly wear all day!

Can I share this with family and friends? Absolutely!  Many grandparents would love to help their grandchild’s school but can no longer volunteer or simply live too far away.  Perhaps they would like to send a check to help!  Feel free to share this website or forward the email you received this morning to any friends and family who might be able to help us reach our goal!
