Thanksgiving Food Drive

It’s the time of year again where we take a moment to pause and give thanks for the many wonderful things we have in our lives. It is also a time to share with others who have less. For the second year, High Tech Elementary PTA is proud to partner with Growing Home, a local non-profit that supports North Denver area children and families who are in need.

Last year, High Tech Elementary was able to donate 15 complete baskets, 25 boxes of food and over $500 in gift cards.  Growing Home is hoping to put together a total of 300 baskets this Thanksgiving.  We can easily make this goal by working together as a community.

Below is a list of requested items, broken down by classroom teacher. Please find your childs teacher, and bring the set of listed items to their classroom anytime between Tuesday, November 1st and Thursday, November 17th. PTA volunteers will deliver our our items on Friday, November 18th.

Classrooms that reach 100% participation will be rewarded with a special prize for the children – a pajama day! So bring over and above the number of items assigned in order to ensure success!

We are also collecting gift cards for King Soopers and Walmart in denominations of $10 and $15 in order to cover the cost of a turkey for each family. We are looking to collect 60 of these cards in order to make our Thanksgiving Baskets complete! Please consider making this donation. All gift cards can be turned in to the Thanksgiving Turkey located in the front office.

Thank you in advance for your generosity. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

If you have any questions, please contact Alexis Clendenin, PTA community chair, at  community@hightechpta.com.
