High Tech PTA Newsletter

Dear Families: Happy 2016! We hope that your year is already off to a healthy and productive start.

“Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering ‘it will be happier’…”

Alfred Tennyson

PROJECT COMFORT & JOY 2015: Thank you for your generosity! We were able to provide eight of our own High Tech families with gifts for 25 of their children. Plus, cash donations made it possible for us to provide $100 to each of the eight families for food during the holiday break. It is so wonderful to be able to contribute directly to our own community.

BOX TOPS: Ms. Babowice’s class won the free dress day for the Box Tops December competition. Their free dress day is today, Friday, Jan 8. Download the collection sheet for January and get your Box Tops in. The class with the most tops will win a free dress day in the beginning of February.

ANNUAL AUCTION: If you haven’t already, please save the date of Saturday, April 9 for our annual auction. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and a ton of fun! This year’s event will be held at the Forney Museum of Transportation in Denver. Lots of more details coming soon.

PARENT MEETING: Please note, that the PTA and school administration are working hard to schedule a follow-up meeting from December’s parent discussion with Bill de la Cruz from DPS. As soon as we have any information, we will be sure to let you know.

SNOW DAY WITH SANTA: This event was a great success. Mr. & Mrs. Claus were featured in photographs with 45 famlies. In all, the event raised $1,700 for High Tech. A very special Thank You to Mr. & Mrs. Claus for their generous donation of time and holiday cheer at the event!
