High Tech PTA Newsletter

Dear Families:

It is the time of year to be Thankful and to think of others who may have less. High Tech PTA is now collecting items for our Thanksgiving Food Drive. We have partnered with Growing Home, a north Denver non-profit to gather items to create meal baskets for families in need. Our goal is to provide enough items for Growing Home to assemble 60 complete baskets. Growing Home is working to assemble a total of 300 meal baskets! Items have been assigned by classroom. In addition, we need $10 and $15 gift certificates from King Soopers and Walmart, so that Growing Home can purchase turkeys for each of the 60 High Tech baskets. Thank you for your support! (Gift cards can be turned into the front office, while basket supplies can be turned into individual classrooms.)

We are excited to announce The Goddard School Stapleton as a food sponsor of the upcoming “Parenting Safe Children – Keeping children safe from sexual abuse,” educational workshop at High Tech on Saturday, November 14 from 10AM to 2PM! If you have questions, please contact Allison Pettersson, our parent liaison for this event. The cost is $53.75 with a special rate ($30) for educators. Space is limited – please register at http://bit.ly/1LMZGJO.

Reward Programs – Easy Ways to Give to High Tech
There are several ways to donate money to our school through your daily purchases, where a percentage of sales comes back to the school or you bring in an item from something you have already purchased for credit. High Tech Elementary PTA is set up with several rewards programs, including King Soopers, Target RedCard, Box Tops for Education, AmazonSmile, and Milk Caps for Moola with Longmont Dairy. If you haven’t connected with these programs, please visit our Rewards Programs page to get all the details and don’t hesitate to contact our program chair Julie Gladnick for more details.

School Store – Three parents are needed every Wednesday and Friday from 7:30-8:30AM to run our school store. Sign up to volunteer.

Stay up-to-date on everything PTA – add yourself and your family to MySchoolAnywhere.
