It’s the time of year again where we take a moment to pause and give thanks for the many wonderful things we have in our lives. It is also a time to share with others who have less. This Thanksgiving, High Tech Elementary PTA is proud to partner with Growing Home, a local non-profit that supports North Denver area children and families who are in need.
Our school has been challenged to help Growing Home provide 60 Thanksgiving Baskets for families in need — Growing home is aiming to put together a total of 300 baskets this Thanksgiving. We can easily make this goal by working together as a community.
Below is a list of requested items, broken down by classroom teacher. Please find your child’s teacher, and bring the listed items to their classroom anytime between Monday, November 2 and Thursday, November 12. Growing Home will pick up our items on Friday, November 13.
We are aiming for 100% participation, which will be rewarded with a special prize for the children. So bring over and above the number of items assigned in order to ensure success!
Thank you in advance for your generosity. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! If you have any questions, please contact Mim Ochsenbein, PTA community chair.
